Ledger Live Integrates Coinbase's <32 ETH Staking
February 19, 2025

TLDR
This is the first time that Ledger Live users in the U.S. can stake any amount of ETH natively - this feature is also available to Ledger Live users worldwide. Users can stake directly through Ledger Live to Coinbase-operated validators.
Introduction
We are proud to announce a major milestone in ETH staking: Ledger Live recently integrated Coinbase’s ETH staking API. This integration makes ETH staking more accessible and secure to everyday stakers. Ledger Live users worldwide (including U.S. users) can now stake any amount of ETH with Coinbase. Users can stake directly through Ledger Live to Coinbase-operated validators.
This integration eliminates the previous need to meet a 32 ETH threshold to natively stake. It also allows Ledger Live users to benefit from Coinbase’s trusted and secure staking services. Coinbase is the only provider of native ETH staking in–any increment–for Ledger Live users in the U.S.
Staking for every user
Users of Ledger Live can now enjoy a seamless staking experience. With only a few clicks, any Ledger Live user can stake any amount of ETH. Users are no longer held to the 32 ETH minimum requirement, making native staking much more accessible. Rewards are auto-compounded by default and users maintain control of funds at all times.
“This integration represents another major evolution in staking. We couldn’t be more excited to give our users access to natively stake any amount of ETH, right from Ledger Live. Working with Coinbase has been a fantastic experience as they are similarly focused on staking accessibility and UX.”
- JF Rochet, EVP of Consumer Services, Ledger Live
At Coinbase, we believe that increasing access to staking will nurture a safer ecosystem for all. By making staking more accessible and user-friendly, we’re helping to grow and secure the crypto ecosystem. We are excited to empower more users to participate in and earn rewards through staking.
