Project PAI targets every person in the world to create, manage, and use their own PAI as per their Right to Publicity. Project PAI proposes a blockchain protocol to give people trackable ownership and management rights.
PAI is a verified intelligent 3D AI avatar that personifies users in the digital space. This 3D avatar is enriched with the user’s looks, behavior, and sounds and can also perform activities on their behalf. PAI serves as a digital representation of the user with the ability to learn new skills and perform a myriad of tasks independently.
The PAI can operate independently without the time and geographic location constraints. PAI serves various purposes, from managing schedules as a personal assistant, making dining and shopping plans, to acting as a virtual concierge guiding the user during their travels. As more and more interactions move to the digital space, PAI claims to develop enhanced skills which ultimately expands the user’s capabilities in the digital space. PAI is created using ObEN’s advanced AI technology. Here, ObEN is an AI research and development company that creates Personal Artificial Intelligence enabling social and virtual interactions. Proof of You (POY) is the consensus mechanism used to authenticate that the creation of each PAI is confirmed to be initiated and is carried out by the person whom the PAI represents.
Users can also monetize the PAI as the users who choose to share their data to improve the PAI blockchain are compensated for their contributions. As per its whitepaper, the PAI platform accepts a two-level structure of cryptocurrencies to keep the blockchain ecosystem and end-user separate:
Users who engage with the platform on the ecosystem level are compensated with PAI coins for their participation. Also, any user who engages with the platform on the application level is compensated with credits.
Further, the data gathered on the PAI blockchain belongs to the users and not to any central organization. The users are free to control their PAI and can have full authorization on who can use their PAI and associated data, receiving compensation for their participation on the PAI blockchain.
PAI coin mainnet launched on February 23, 2018. Chuck NG is the president of the Project PAI Steering Committee. He is a tech early adopter and an investor who helps in the progress of the PAI ecosystem basis on community feedback. Alex Waters is the technical advisor and leads the PAI protocol development. He has over seven years of expertise in the blockchain industry, including his roles on the Bitcoin core development open-source project.
