The platform primarily works on a Proof-of-Stake consensus model, allowing NRG holders to continue staking coins on the network and win token rewards in return. Also, NRG is distributed as a reward to the masternodes for voting on proposals and increasing the treasury gains. As the website cites, approximately one million NRG is created every month.
