HedgeTrade is a decentralized prediction market focused on a wide variety of financial assets. Trade predictions can then be purchased using the HEDG token for users to replicate and learn from. Correct trade predictions award the trade predictor with the HEDG tokens originally put forth by those individuals who purchased that prediction originally through the marketplace. Incorrect trade predictions see the HEDG tokens used to buy that prediction returned to the original buyer(s).

As per its whitepaper, the blockchain technology of the HedgeTrade platform allows traders to submit predictions into a smart contract-driven “Blueprint” that users can purchase. Traders are rewarded if the Blueprint is correct; otherwise, the users' purchase is refunded. The true or false results are based on real market information. The reward and automated verification system enhance a trader’s credibility, motivation to succeed, and earning potential.
Each smart contract at HedgeTrade is written based on the parameters set by the traders using its web application. When any audience buys the “Blueprint,” the executed outcome affects the trader’s ranking, reputation, and HEDG earnings. Incorporating smart contracts into the Blueprints creates a high level of verification and transparency of an analyst’s performance, which affects the trader’s ranking and rewards.
The proof-of-rank algorithm, a multivariable set of formulas, assigns each trader an overall rank on the platform. POR integrates the proprietary algorithm that effectively quantifies the prediction performance of each Blueprint.
Further, Oracle is the agent that validates and submits market information to the blockchain used by smart contracts. When a particular value is reached, an event is automatically triggered. Oracle provides these values to the smart contracts while maintaining the verifiable proof of integrity.
To incentivize truthful action, a decentralized dispute resolution process was designed. The process begins automatically with the notification of high-ranking users who have opted to join dispute resolutions. After this, all qualified users have to stake HEDG tokens to cast their vote if the Blueprint in question is correct or not. Users who vote on the majority's side are rewarded with HEDG tokens.
Also, HedgeTrade, in comparison to other trading platforms, presents such a degree of difficulty to spammers and manipulators that make fraudulent activities impractical. One tool that helps HedgeTrade identify account legitimacy is Artificial Intelligence (AI).
HedgeTrade platform development started in 2017 and is currently operated and supported by twenty-five full-time employees. The HedgeTrade headquarters are based in Singapore, and the team members are extended to North America and Europe. The total supply of HEDG tokens is 1,000,000,000.
