MX TOKEN was introduced in 2019 by a centralized exchange established in April 2018 and registered in Seychelles. The platform was co-founded by Sheen Xin Hu, Aaron Wagener, and Piotr Brzezinski, with Sheen Xin Hu also founding the MXC Foundation. In 2021, the exchange rebranded to MEXC Global and later to MEXC Official under the leadership of John Chen, a Singaporean businessman who became CEO.
