Student Coin was launched in November 2017, initially known as ALK Student Coin, named after Kozminsky University. It was later decided to create a fork of the ALK Student Coin and launch the current Student Coin (STC). The project was initiated by Wojciech Podobas, a specialist in crypto-mathematics, and a global team from various fields and prestigious universities. As of July 2022, the maximum supply of STC is 10,000,000,000 tokens, with 53% of the total supply in circulation.
